WordCraft Resume Template
This free WordCraft resume template gives you an editable DOCX starting point for a job application. Download the original file, open it in your browser and replace the prompts with your own experience, education and skills. The simple one-page layout keeps the focus on your content.

The document includes a profile, two experience entries, a selected project, education and skills. Every example is a writing prompt, not a finished resume or a claim about your qualifications. Use it for a new draft or copy accurate material from a resume you already own.
The preview below was rendered from this exact downloadable DOCX. Version 1.0 uses US Letter paper, Arial 11-point body text and black headings. It has no macros, form fields or account requirement. Both English and Chinese detail pages provide the same English-language file; you can replace its wording with your own language after opening it.

Start with your name and contact line. Use an email address you check, a phone number you want employers to use and a portfolio link only if it is relevant and accessible. Replace the city and country prompt with the location information the application needs. Read this line again before sending: an otherwise polished resume can still contain an example address.
Rewrite the profile for the role you want. In the experience section, describe work you actually did and results you can support. The selected project section is useful when a project demonstrates skills that the job requires. Update your education and remove skills that you cannot explain in an interview. If a section does not apply, delete it instead of leaving the prompt in place.
How to Use This Template
- 1
Download a clean copy
Choose Download DOCX and locate the file on your device. Your browser may save it to Downloads or ask you to choose a folder. Keep this original as a backup before adding personal information.
- 2
Open and customize
Open WordCraft and wait for the ribbon and document area. Choose File > Open and select the downloaded file. Replace the prompts and review the layout as you edit. This button opens the workspace; it does not automatically import the template.
- 3
Save and check
Choose File > Save As for an editable DOCX copy. Locate the download and reopen it to confirm the changes. To create a reading copy, use File > Export > PDF document (*.pdf), then inspect the downloaded PDF separately.
Before You Send It
Compare the resume with the job instructions. An employer may request a particular file format or additional information; the template does not override those requirements. Use consistent dates, check spelling and confirm that links open. The file has a plain text layout with headings, but we make no claim that it guarantees applicant tracking system acceptance or an interview.
Review the first and last lines after saving. Adding another position can push education or skills onto a second page. A second page is not automatically wrong, but avoid a heading stranded at the bottom of the first page. Keep the downloaded original and save your edited copy under a different name so that later applications start from a clean version.
WordCraft is in alpha. Our checks cover these simple original templates, not every document layout or font. If the saved result differs from your draft, return to the backup and check it in the application your recipient will use. Save your work before closing the browser; an account is not a cloud document backup.
